6. Postdoc in Upscaling of Geomodels
The Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Centre (Centre for Oil and Gas – DTU), Technical University of Denmark (DTU), invites applicants for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in petrophysics with particular reference to chalk in the Danish North Sea.
Responsibilities and tasks
The research projects currently underway at the DHRTC include optimizing
waterflooding and hydrocarbon recovery in the chalk fields of the Danish North
Sea. This will involve characterizing the sedimentology and diagenetic history
of the chalk in order to populate 3D static geomodels with lithofacies. There
will be a strong focus on the relationships between lithofacies, petrophysical
and geomechanical properties, and fracturing.
