Requirements:
TerranearPMC seeks to fill field hydrologist and hydrogeologist positions at our Los Alamos, New Mexico office. The primary duties will be to collect groundwater and surface water samples in support of the watershed monitoring program at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Additional duties include supporting the planning, coordination, and implementation of extensive watershed-wide groundwater sampling campaigns or the daily prioritization and implementation of surface water sampling, gage station operations, and erosion control inspections in response to storm events and permit compliance requirements. Groundwater is sampled from alluvial, intermediate and regional aquifer wells using a variety of dedicated and portable sampling systems. Field work requires operating and maintaining various field instruments such as water level recorders, data loggers, pressure transducers, and water quality probes. Surface water field work involves inspection and maintenance of erosion control measures and maintenance of storm water, surface water, and gage-station automated sampling equipment. Work is year-round and 90% outdoors. Many locations are remote and require hiking or four-wheel drive access. There are multiple openings for this position including both full time and limited term seasonal appointments.

Chemical Oceanography—We seek candidates whose area of expertise could include (but are not limited to) organic geochemistry, sedimentary or water column biogeochemistry, or carbon and coupled elemental cycles.
Geological Oceanography—We seek candidates who examine coastal and marine sedimentary systems using field-based or modeling approaches. Appointments are expected to be made at the Assistant Professor level, but consideration will also be given to exceptional applicants seeking appointment at the Associate Professor level. Candidates to be considered for Associate Professor must meet the Associate criteria detailed in the Department of Marine Science Promotion and Tenure guidelines. A Ph.D. in Oceanography or a related discipline is required.
